Vacancy: Project Managers

Our ongoing success has led to excellent opportunities for Project Managers.

Your overall objective will be delivery of mission critical process control, automation and information management systems, primarily to the power and process industries, within cost and time constraints and to customer expectation.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Deliver projects to time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and manage project resources.
  • Control, monitor and report project costs (expended and predicted).
  • Ensure health and safety is maintained at all times.
  • Operate within the requirements of our ISO9001 approved management system.
  • Produce, progress, review and maintain project plans.
  • Co-ordinate all project activities.
  • Liaise with customers at all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Select and control project suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Maintain control over project scope and designs including approval of design modifications, definition of baselines.
  • Ensure systems are adequately tested prior to delivery and following installation.
  • Manage and mitigate project risks.

It is expected that the successful candidates will have a technical background and a demonstrable knowledge of Project Management. You will have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills and a strong desire to succeed.

Vacancy: Site Managers/Electrical Team Leaders

Our ongoing success has led to excellent opportunities for Site Managers/Electrical Team Leaders.

Your overall objectives will be the management and co-ordination of the site installation team and associated sub-contractors and the design of the electrical installations associated with the delivery of mission critical process control, automation and information management systems primarily to the power and process industries, within cost and time constraints and to customer expectation.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Deliver projects to time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and manage project resources.
  • Ensure health and safety is maintained at all times.
  • Operate within the requirements of our ISO9001 approved management system.
  • Produce, progress, review and maintain site plans.
  • Co-ordinate all site activities.
  • Produce design for site electrical works e.g. cabling diagrams, schedules and associated calculations.
  • Obtain tenders for work packages and select and control project suppliers and sub-contractors.

Vacancy: Siemens PCS7 Systems Engineers

You will be a key architect of mission critical process control systems, primarily to the power and process industries. You will have an engineering background and an excellent knowledge of systems design and implementation of Siemens PCS7, including:

  • PCS7 Architecture including:-
    • Core Software Modules (e.g. Historian, User Archive etc.).
    • Hardware & Communications Infrastructure (e.g. Industrial Ethernet, Profibus etc.).
  • Database Organisation and Configuration.
  • SCL and Function Block programming including CFC and SFC.
  • Data Logging and Reporting.
  • Graphics Development.
  • Software development tools and languages (e.g. VB, VBA, C, etc.).

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Act as an architect of PCS7 based control system solutions and produce systems and functional design specifications.
  • Design and implement effective modifications (enhancements and expansions) to existing PCS7 based control systems.
  • Produce detailed test specifications and co-ordinate testing activities including Systems Testing, Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing.
  • Plan and execute deployments of new and modified PCS7 systems within client environments.

Vacancy: Siemens (Moore) APACS Systems Engineers

You will be a key architect of mission critical process control systems, primarily to the power and process industries. You will have an engineering background and an excellent knowledge of systems design and implementation of Siemens (Moore) APACS, QUADLOG experience would also be an advantage.

  • Act as an architect of APACS based control system solutions and produce systems and functional design specifications.

Our expanding business has led to vacancies for experienced Control Systems Engineers.

Responsibilities will include design, implementation, testing, installation, commissioning and support of mission critical process control, automation and process management systems, primarily to the power and process industries.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Production and maintenance of design, test and user documentation.
  • Implementation and testing of systems components.
  • Maintain and develop your technical skills to meet the demands of an ever changing and evolving environment.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager at all stages of the project lifecycle.

Experience in at least one of the following technologies is essential:

  • SCADA
  • PLC (primarily Siemens & Rockwell)

Vacancy: Electrical Engineers

Our expanding business has led to vacancies for experienced Electrical Engineers.

Responsibilities will include design, sub-contract management, testing, installation, commissioning and support of Electrical Systems associated with the delivery of mission critical process control and process management systems, primarily to the power and process industries.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interpretation of customer requirements specifications, functional design specifications and technical specifications (customer and industry) leading to production of detailed electrical designs.
  • Production and maintenance of design, test and user documentation and drawings.
  • Understand and follow P&IDs to extract appropriate information leading to I/O, cabling and instrumentation design.
  • Implementation and testing of systems components.
  • Maintain and develop your technical skills to meet the demands of an ever changing and evolving environment.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager at all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Operate within the requirements of our ISO9001 approved management system.

Experience in a significant number of the following areas is essential:

  • Cabling for Low Voltage application (up to 110Vdc and 415Vac) including:-
    • Production of Single Line Diagrams, Block Diagrams and Termination Schedules.
    • Cable sizing and selection.
    • Cable containment.
    • Site Survey of existing installations.
    • Managing cabling sub-contractors e.g. plan, scope, quality, testing.
  • I/O Systems (for PLC & DCS systems):-
    • I/O System electrical design (connection of field equipment).
    • Loop diagrams.
    • Enclosure design.
    • Site Survey of existing installation.
    • Managing panel sub-contractors e.g. plan, scope, quality, testing.
  • Field Devices and Instrumentation
    • Selection and electrical design of field devices e.g. Valves, motors etc.
    • Selection and electrical design of instrumentation e.g. Flow, temperature etc.
  • Communications & Networks
    • Fieldbus networks e.g. Profibus, DeviceNet etc.
    • Communication networks e.g. Ethernet.
  • Control Room Desks
    • Desk layouts and construction.
    • Managing desk sub-contract e.g. plan, scope, quality, testing.
  • Standards
    • 16th Edition of Wiring Regulation.
    • ATEX regulations.
    • CDM.
    • Method Statement, Risk Assessment and Permit to Work schemes.
    • General knowledge of industry standards and good working practice.
  • Tools
    • MS Office (Word, Excel as a minimum).
    • CAD Tools (AutoCAD preferred).
    • Test equipment e.g. Digital Volt Meters, Electrical inspection & test equipment.

Our expanding business has led to vacancies for Software Technicians.

Responsibilities will include providing a supporting role to projects delivering mission critical process control, automation and process management systems, primarily to the power and process industries.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • PC Systems Build and Maintenance.
  • Set-up of computer based test and development equipment.
  • Generation of support documentation.
  • Configuration of standard SCADA/HMI software packages.
  • Development of SCADA/HMI graphics.
  • Software testing.

Experience in at least one of the following is essential:

  • PC Systems set-up and configuration
  • MS Windows Operating Systems
  • MS Office Packages
  • Office Networks

Experience in the following would be advantages although some training is expected to be provided:

  • SCADA/HMI systems set-up & configuration
  • Development of graphics for industrial applications

Qualifications

  • An HNC/HND or equivalent) in a computing related subject.

It is expected that successful candidates will have some experience in a computing related role or educational background and able to demonstrate the ability to work within teams or on their own initiative. You will have strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
